Funeral For A Friend @ The Cambridge Hotel

UK punk band Funeral For A Friend return to Australia for their most extensive tour to date. Playing songs from their seventh studio album ‘Condul’ as well as some classics that have helped build them a bigger following every time they visit our shores, don’t miss this fascinating band do their thing. Their debut album ‘Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation’  is still a landmark punk album of the 2000’s, and shows that this band as staying power. Charlie Landsborough @ Wests New Lambton

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Charlie Landsborough comes to Wests with his five-piece band. Playing his heartfelt and telling lyrics, you do not want to miss the extremely talented Charlie pleasing the crowd with his wide mix of musical genres, from country, blues, folk, ballads to anthems. His inspirational sound and witty anecdotes have made this performer popular among the ranks, with his material being covered by Jack Jones, Pat Boone, Foster and Allen, Daniel O’Donnell and many more. The Led Zeppelin Show @ Cambridge Hotel

This authentic tribute band to the great Led Zeppelin will have you wondering whether you are seeing the real thing in concert. With costumes, stage presentation, as well as authentic instruments and equipment that the real Led Zeppelin used, be amazed at how good this tribute band really is. Playing 90% of Led Zeppelin’s catalogue and with no backing tracks, these guys capture the electricity that Led Zeppelin was known for perfectly, and is a show that hardcore fans and music lovers must see. 18+ event. Add a little jazz to your weekend with jazz vocalist Vince Jones. An outstanding composer and interpreter in a contemporary jazz style, he is not one to show off his technique but rather get audiences to feel the rhythm of his soulful jazz sounds. Adding more and more trumpet to his spectacular show style, this will be a relaxing, toe-tapping, feel good show.

Newcastle Hunters vs. Maitland Mustangs @ Broadmeadow Basketball Stadium

See the Newcastle Hunters thrash the Maitland Mustangs tonight in an all out Basketball war. The ladies are on first at 5pm with the men getting their turn at 7pm. The Sunshine of Her Smile - Mother’s Day Concert @ Adamstown Uniting Centre

Make mum smile with this musical concert featuring music theatre star Chris Maxfield, organist Callum Close, and some of Newcastle’s finest young instrumentalists and singers.
