Hunter Street Markets
When: Wednesday through to Saturday every week, 9am-3pm.
A small market operating in the heart of the CBD. If you're looking to pick up fresh organic produce, baked goods or something a little more gourmet mid week - look no further! You'll also find all manner of home wares, jewellery and crafts, as well as fresh plants and herbs.

Adamstown Lions Markets
When: Every Sunday, 8am-1pm.
All manner of clothes, books, seedlings, home-made treats, fresh produce and refreshments can be found here. What a nice way to spend your Sunday morning.
Olive Tree Market
When: First Saturday of the month.
What commenced in 2008 has since grown to be a hub for artisans of every craft. The Olive Tree Market, on the first Saturday of each month, showcases an eclectic mix of handmade wares ranging from travel accessories, vintage and rockabilly clothing, to live music from the up-and-coming musicians in the region. The market is constantly growing and evolving, with new stallholders every month. Be sure to treat yourself in the new gourmet food area.

Newcastle City Farmers Market
When: Almost every Sunday, 8am-1pm.
If you’re after fresh produce – look no further! Direct from the farmer to you, at the Newcastle City Farmers Market (also known as the Newcastle City Farmers and Makers Market) you can even chat to the farmer about the produce, how is was grown, and how best to eat it. A wide variety of fresh produce is available each weekend, no matter the weather, including: fresh fruits and veggies, freshly produced cheese, organic and conventionally grown meats and seafood, a vast array of homemade pastries, cakes and desserts, spices, wines, gourmet foods, and let’s not forget hot breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Adamstown-New Lambton Rotary Markets
When: Last Saturday of every month, 8:30am-1:30pm.
Formally the Blackbutt Markets in Richly Reserve, the Adamstown-New Lambton Rotary Markets has relocated to New Lambton Public School due to unfortunate luck with the weather. The market features a unique selection of quality crafted goods ranging from handmade bags and jewellery, thoughtfully crafted paper flowers, potted succulents, bush essential skin care, and hair accessories. In addition, the Rotarians host a BBQ to provide to opportunity to purchase breakfast or lunch, and tea and coffee are also available.

Newcastle City (Produce) Market
When: Eevery Friday, 9:30am-11am.
Entry: $4 per vehicle
For those of you out their who are looking for fabulous bargins on fresh fruit and veg, head to Sandgate on Friday for the Newcastle City Markets. This is one of the two wholesale markets that serice NSW and the first Australia central wholesale market to be completely owned by the wholesalers.

Islington markets .. which is actually the Vietnam Veterans markets .. they have the cheapest stalls to hire and a great variety of bric a brac .. Adamstown markets .. Anne up the top has the best retro & vintage wares .. the plant man and his son are also tops

Due to unfortunate luck with the weather at Blackbutt, the Adamstown/New Lambton Rotary Markets are now located at New Lambton Public School cnr of Regent St and Alma Rd. Still on the last Saturday of each month from 8.30 to 1.30 🙂
Markets being held on Sunday 14th October 2012 8am till 2pm on the grounds of St Mary’s High School 47 Pacific Highway Gateshead. Fresh produce, craft, Christmas Decos, Beach Decor, DJ Jace, jumping castle, BBQ, drinks, coffee, fresh made cake, facepainting, Tinkerbella Fairy Floss, Fair Play Cafe, books, new and used clothing, hand made crafts, candles, home made soaps, crafts and much much more…come along to a fantastic day out for the whole family…
