Halloween Approaches! Places in Newcastle To Hire A Costume
Many years ago, French philosopher Jean Baudrillard soberly declared “There is nothing funny about Halloween. This sarcastic festival reflects, rather, an infernal demand for revenge by children on the adult world”. On the contrary, Mr Baudrillard, Halloween is the perfect time for children and adults to revenge upon their boring desk jobs or school tables and, for one weekend only, smear fake blood down your shirt and do the monster mash. If you’ve got big plans this weekend for Halloween, you’ll need a (excuse the pun) killer costume…

Ritzy Fashion Op Shop
A great place to look for those distinguishable pieces that turn an outfit from your wardrobe into a costume is op shops. Ritzy is one of the best: each one-of-a-kind piece is meticulously selected, and the prices have not succumbed to the ‘vintage-with-a-new-pricetag’ trend that is infiltrating op shopping. Clothing is separated into decades and styles, and there are always a few $2 racks chock-full of weird and wonderful clothing from yesteryear. Ritzy stock both men and women, so for a more economical costume this year - be sure to get over to Ritzy for a hunt!
