Swisse Color Run™ Coming to Newcastle

Color Run™ 5K Newcastle

Have you ever wanted to run 5k and have colour thrown at you (in a white shirt of course) all for a good cause? No? Well get your head checked because the latest craze to hit Oz is coming to Newcastle on May 5! The Swisse Color Run™ (that is the actual name, not a spelling error) originated in the US, and is now spreading to various countries around the world. Brazil, Portugal and Germany are getting in on the action, and the 5K Color Run™ has now reached our shores with the help of sponsors Swisse.

Touted as the ‘happiest 5km on the planet’, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth sold out very quickly and Newcastle is bound to do the same. Get your friends together and register as a team, or if you prefer to go solo, individual entries are welcomed. Registration costs go towards the packs you receive before the race which include some sweet items like an official Color Run™ shirt and sweatband as well as some sponsor goodies. The most important part of the entry fee are the funds that go to charity. Swisse has recently created their own charitable foundation, Celebrate Life Foundation, which will be in charge of dispersing funds to the event organiser’s nominated charities across Australia.

Are you beginning to say yes to my first question? A race map has not been officially released yet but will involve the Newcastle Jockey Club in Broadmeadow. If you want to get fit and healthy for a good cause without getting mega dirty like you would in Tough Mudder, check out the Color Run website now and register today. They are also on the look out for some volunteers so if you want to peg bags of colour at people rather than running/walking/being carried 5km, this is the event for you. See you on the track!

Hello Leah.

My name is Troy Ford, i’m a student at the University of Newcastle.
We have an assignment and i need some information about the color run from the perspective of someone actually organising the Color Run in Newcastle. Can you help?

Troy.

Hi Troy! As we aren’t organisers of the Color Run, it may be best to visit their official website to see who you should be talking to.
All the best with your assignment! :)
