Photographing Port Stephens

Photographing Port Stephens

This week I took a trip out of the city and headed up to the Port Stephens area. After a week of torrential rain and freezing weather in Newcastle, it was a relief to enjoy some sunshine! There are several parts of this area to explore from Soldier’s Point, Corlette, Shoal Bay and right round to Anna Bay. The whole place has a relaxed, laid-back feel to it - the perfect place to unwind and put your feet up. A holiday favourite for many Sydneysiders and Novocastrians, the lack of over-development has meant that this is a real gem in the hunter region.

Each week “The Grid” features photos of a selected area of the Newcastle & Hunter region, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
