Photographing Broadmeadow
When originally thinking of Broadmeadow, all that came to mind was the train station and the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, although on closer inspection there is a bit more to it. As if it has some sort of split personality, the suburb is populated with a duopoly of both neatly kept family homes, and overgrown dwellings that are more nature reserve than residential. A high number of houses were protected by dual lions - of the garden variety. There was plenty of colour to be found, even on an overcast day.
Each week “The Grid” features photos of a selected area of the Newcastle & Hunter region, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Hi Ben
Lovely to see your pix of Broadmeadow. If you’d like to (virtually) cross Griffiths Road, I have a similar thing going for Hamilton North. Major difference is that my focus is words rather than pictures; I don’t have your photographer’s eye!
Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
thanks for your comment =) Looks like you have a great little blog going on there, I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it!
