Parkway Drive Celebrates 10 Years at Newcastle Panthers
Parkway Drive are back in Newcastle for yet another tour to celebrate 10 years of achievements in the music industry. Forming in 2002 and playing their first gig at the Byron Bay Youth Activity Centre in their hometown in 2003, this quintet have risen to become undisputed kings of Australian hardcore. This special anniversary tour in September will bring the boys back to Newcastle Panthers on Thursday 26th September to play all their hits, new and old.
These guys are no strangers to milestones, with two Gold-certified albums, two Platinum-selling DVDs, sold-out Australian tours, countless trips overseas and appearances at virtually every major music festival. Their debut album “Killing With A Smile” in 2005 has sold over 30,000 copies, and their latest venture “Atlas” is set to be their best yet. Having dealt with 2 band member shake-ups with their third bassist playing for them since 2006, nothing is going to dampen these guys spirits in celebrating 10 years on the music scene.
Their still growing fanbase across Australia will be excited for this new tour, not only celebrating the band’s achievements but also as a thank you to their staunch fanbase. Their set list will comprise of material spanning their entire back catalogue, with some older fan favourites being dusted off for the occasion.
