Opportunity for Newcastle Creatives: Design a Tee for Groovin the Moo

GMT T-Shirt by Ruby May Scanlon

Part of the GTM People's Choice shirt design for 2011 by Ruby May Scanlon.

Groovin the Moo, the little festival that could and is dominating the rural scene, is once again inviting all artisans to submit work for their third installment of the GTM T-Shirt Design Competition!

This year - the eighth for the fest - they’re looking for a reflective glance back at the history of GTM and asking designers to create a Grass Roots tee that embodies the ritual of the gathering and the spirit of the fest’s rural settings.

Win and you’ll get a major prize (still to be announced), tickets to a GTM festival and have your shirt made and sold at 2012’s GTM’s across Australia. There will also be prizes for 3 highly commended works and a People’s Choice award. Cool, right?

You can check out the work of previous winners here.

Now get going designer-types! Make Newcastle proud!

Helen Henry grew up in Newcastle, and in 2010 graduated with a Bachelor of Communication from the local University. This was pleasing because it made her officially qualified to communicate about the things she likes most: music and the music industry, photography, digital, cute animals and her friends & family. Most recently, Helen worked as a Digital Projects Assistant at Sticky Advertising and was Editor of Urban Insider. She has recently landed a pretty sweet gig working in the music industry in Sydney.
