How to Have Your Very Own Barista Quality Coffee Without an Expensive Machine
Have you ever have an outstanding coffee, saw the exact beans the barista used for sale behind them and thought ‘if I had one of those big $1000 machines I would so buy some of those beans and make my own’? Well the Urban Inside has the info you need to utilize those amazing beans without having to invest in an expensive coffee machine.
All you need is a mortar and pestle if you want to look fancy or a sandwich bag and a rolling pin if looks aren’t important. You’ll also need a coffee strainer, a jar with a lid, a spoon, a kettle and a microwave.
Scoop some of the coffee beans into your mortar or sandwich bag, one or two teaspoons should do, but it depends on how strong you like it and how many cups you’re intending to make. Proceed to crush up the beans with your pestle or rolling pin, don’t over grind them or the powder will end up in your cup when you’re trying to drink it.
Once you have boiled your water, tip your crushed beans into the coffee strainer then add the hot water, leave for a few minutes, stir and leave for another minute to allow the flavor to come out of the beans.
Pour your milk into your jar making sure not to fill it anymore than half way. Place the lid on and shake for 30sec then microwave for 30-40sec. Place the plunger into the coffee strainer and pour into your cup. Pour the warm milk into your cup using a spoon to hold back the foam then scoop the foam out and place on the top of the cup.
Now you have a professional looking coffee made from your favorite beans without the expensive machine or the degree required to learn how to use it, you’ll also save a fortune over the working weeks.
