UPDATED - 16 April, 2013

Groovin’ The Moo (GTM) is heading back to Maitland this year on Saturday 27 April with a stellar line-up that will surely create a sell-out event. Catering for all ages (16+ recommended), tickets are now on sale for the Maitland and Canberra legs of their five date calendar. From your favourite home-grown acts to international superstars, GTM is pulling out all the stops for their 9th year.

“After six months of planning, it’s always an exciting time when the GTM line-up is finally revealed. Again we’ve assembled a great bunch of exciting new acts and festival favourites. We’re very excited to be hosting They Might Be Giants’ first visit to Australia in a long while” - GTM Promoter Stephen Halpin.

Local band Galleri have recently been added to the bill, a performance that will surely grow their rapidly expanding fan base. Having toured with the likes of The Owls, The Fumes, Lisa Mitchell and more, Galleri’s electric live shows will have you dancing in your gumboots. Their first album was produced by JP Fung, who has helped Little Red, Birds of Tokyo and Bluejuice get their sound out to Australia, and Galleri’s self-funded intro album ‘Wake The Dog’ is aiming to do just that.

Vintage pop outfit Goldsmith will also be performing on the GTM stage in Maitland as a winner of Triple J Unearthed. This Newcastle band has been steadily building a following and support from a local crowd, and performing in front of these people as well as alongside established artists will help these guys reach the big time.
