Be The Face of Newcastle Fashion’s Frock On! Competition

Face of Newcastle Fashion Frock On!

Local aspiring fashion models have the opportunity to gain some valuable experience and add to their portfolio via the first aspect of Newcastle’s Frock On! fashion & charity program, The Face of Frock On!

As the Face of Frock On!, one model will have the opportunity to feature in marketing material like brochures and programs, be promoted online and appear in the Frock On! television commercial.

To enter, you need to submit an entry form & three photographs, and pay the $20 entry free. From these, judges will narrow it down to 30 finalists who will be invited to participate in a fashion parade at Westfield Kotara on 15 May. At the parade, finalists will strut their stuff and the winner will be announced.

Entries for the Face of Frock On! close on 11 May at 5pm.

Frock On! Newcastle also features fashion design competitions across seven categories, with awards including “Designer of the Year” and “HSC Encouragement Award”. Entries for designers will open closer to the Frock On! fashion show to be held on 3 September.

Frock On! supports Autism Spectrum Australia (ASPECT)’s Hunter School, which provides autism specific services including early intervention, diagnostic services, specialised education, educational outreach, research, family support and adult community participation programs. The school operates from Shortland and enrols children aged from 3 years and 10 months from across the areas of the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Helen Henry grew up in Newcastle, and in 2010 graduated with a Bachelor of Communication from the local University. This was pleasing because it made her officially qualified to communicate about the things she likes most: music and the music industry, photography, digital, cute animals and her friends & family. Most recently, Helen worked as a Digital Projects Assistant at Sticky Advertising and was Editor of Urban Insider. She has recently landed a pretty sweet gig working in the music industry in Sydney.
