Saturday, 29 January: Floodraiser TwentyEleven at Hamilton Bowling Club. Support local bands Run Squirrel, The Karma Cops, Shanna Watson, Jen Buxton, The Rum Corp, Emerson, DJ Kevin and DJ Shalyn Gray as well as the Queensland Flood Relief Fund, for only $10 (all of which will be donated).
Saturday, 29 January: Check out the Blackbutt Rotary Markets in the beautiful Richley Reserve, Blackbutt, with over 50 stalls and a good ol’ Rotary sausage sizzle. Be sure to dip yourself in mosquito repellent beforehand.
Saturday, 29 January: INXS are launching their new album at A Day on the Green at Bimbadgen Estate, supported by Train, Baby Animals and Sean Kelly. General Admission tickets are sold out but for something extra special, splurge on concert and dining tickets. More info and tix
Sunday, 30th January: Newcastle’s Farmers Market at Newcastle Showground has it all- from organic fruit and vegetables, to arts and crafts, bread, flowers, clothing and jewellery. Enjoy a Peaberrys coffee and any number of delicious freshly-baked treats. Arrive early to avoid the crowds and get the freshest produce. Parking on site is $2. More info
Sunday, 30th January: Amanda Palmer’s Map of Tasmania Tour at The Great Northern Hotel is sure to both shock and wow from 8pm. Previously known as one half of the cabaret-punk duo the Dresden Dolls, she’s bringing her solo tour to Newcastle to launch her new album ‘Amanda Palmer Goes Under’. Over 18s only. More info and tix
Wednesday, 2nd February: Cocktail Summer at the Dockyard. From 8-10pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights until the 27th of Feb, grab a delicious cocktail for the sweet price of $10.

Thursday, 3rd February: Start the weekend early weekend early by sampling over 23 varieties of the Bimbadgen range at Twilight Tastings at the Bimbadgen Cellar Door.
JUST ADDED: Friday, 4th February: ARThive reopens for 2011 at 7pm with Time Pour, the solo exhibition of Sydney’s Elizabeth Nagy. Exquisitely detailed illustrations inspired by folk art, craft and childrens illustration, her work is sure to delight and capture your imagination. More info
